The Ashen Faction
The Ashen Faction, known immemorially as "The Greys" are a demographic shrouded in mystery. They do not have a traditional "House" system much like the other races and peer-astra, instead opting for a much more collectivist approach to their governance and sociological affairs. Their interim point of origin is the Zeta Reticuli system, but next to nothing is known of their Originus-Nativus (Native-Origin planet/system). The only things that have been discerned of them is that they, essentially, are a "race" in name only, and are in fact "androids" - for their bodies are fabricated autonomously by machines, then imprinted with autonomic relays, and their brains implanted with neurological nets that enact priosapience (post-manifold level thinking). This enables them to have emotivapthy (emotive telepathy, albeit a very base level in comparison to other factions/races), a level of prescience through causality coherence, and logic gates that function concordantly with one another at 10 layers of abstraction. Their fabrication process is done exceedingly quickly, and as such, are easy to replace once one has "expired". The resources and ecological effects upon the environment for such a manufacturing operation are high, significantly effecting the ecology and geography of any planet that host one of these facilities. For this reason, along with some accompanying evidence, it has been discerned that their original host planet is a desert planet in nature, but was once riff with life and lush greenery before it was siphoned for all it's resources to fuel the fabrication factories.
The one that stands above them all and commands them with a dictatorial, iron fist is an individual known only as "Yahgwen", but his androids endearingly refer to him as "Father". Yahgwen is the only one amongst them who maintains his own autonomy and free will, his androids becking to his every need and whim. He is crude, crass and deleterious when regarding almost any lifeform, analyzing them through strictly beneficial and deficitial lense. With his androids, he does not even afford them that much - viewing them as entirely replaceable, and acting accordingly. Despite this behavior he is convincingly and yet disingenuously affectionate to his servants, referring to them as his "precious dolls".
